Biography

Jacqueline Ford is an artist who lives in Marlow in Buckinghamshire. She works from her kitchen table and dreams one day of converting her ‘5 to 9 life’ into a ‘9 to 5 life’ and having a dedicated studio space.

Jacqueline moved away from traditional watercolour work five years ago and began to explore mixed media techniques and collage Рand hasn’t looked back. An active Member of Marlow Art and Crafts Society, Jacqueline’s first series of collages exhibited in 2007 sold on the preview evening.

Jacqueline’s main source of inspiration is the British coast, especially the stretch of the east coast from Aldeburgh to Southwold. She also loves her riverside town of Marlow and the neighbouring Thames-side towns.

Jacqueline is forever looking for interesting things that can be repurposed in her work and often has bits of fishing net, feathers or interesting ephemera that have been picked up on walks in her pocket.  What you think you may see in her work may not be what it really is when you get close up!
